At the TacklingPovertyNZ Kaikohe workshop held on 16 September 2016, participants discussed challenges and opportunities in the local area. Six key themes and groups emerged: economy, social services and community, rural isolation, education and health. From these, 36 ‘hows’ to tackle poverty were identified.

We are seeking to further stress-test these ‘hows’ through a public survey. The survey will help us shape the content of the discussion paper, which will be given to the Chief Economist at the New Zealand Treasury.

The survey will be open until Monday, 7 November 2016. You can complete the survey here.
