Specifically, China intends to concentrate on the following industries over the next five years: new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, biotechnology, new materials, new IT, high-end equipment manufacturing and clean energy vehicles. The country’s 12th plan differs from previous plans by setting new housing, pollution, wellbeing, innovation and education targets. Read a complete overview of China’s 12th Five-Year Plan here.
