New Zealand King Salmon plans to establish nine new salmon farms in the Marlborough Sounds. We think this proposal deserves informed public debate. It is not only important for Marlborough, but for all of New Zealand as it is a national treasure worth preserving for future generations.
There is still time to make a submission. The deadline is 5pm, Wednesday 2nd May. Information on how to submit is available on the EPA website.
We have been impressed by the actions of the Guardians of the Sounds – below is a picture of their billboard erected in central Wellington.
Further information on the submission process and the impacts on the Marlborough Sounds area can be found at the following websites.
